Boys basketball: Brighton Charyl Stockwell Academy beats Lutheran Westland 53-34 on Tuesday, January 15, 2019

   Brighton Charyl Stockwell Academy pulled away in the fourth quarter to down Michigan Independent Athletic Conference Red Division foe Lutheran Westland 53-34 on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Lutheran Westland.

   Stockwell led 21-18 at halftime and 34-28 after three quarters. The Sentinels dominated the fourth quarter with a 19-6 run to close out the game.

   Eight players scored for Stockwell in a balanced attack. Senior Jeremy Odoms led the Sentinels with 11 points. Senior Tyler Percin and senior Luke Tratechaud both scored eight points. Junior Dominic Balagna and junior Travis Lucas both added seven points in the win. Junior Wesley Gibbs and senior Bailey Waack both scored five points.

   Stockwell improved to 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC Red. The Sentinels host Birmingham Roeper in a league game on Friday, Jan. 18.
